Why does my rover not get a fix?

The usual suspects are a wrong mountpoint or credentials, missing RTCM message types, signal interference, or an overloaded VRS engine — and the root cause stays hidden until you see inside the stream. NTRIP Checker shows exactly what arrives from the caster in real time: every message ID with live counts and last-received timestamps, so a missing 1005 or 1074 is visible at a glance.

What RTCM messages do I need for RTK?

At minimum your rover needs the base station position (message 1005 or 1006) and observation messages for the constellations you use — typically MSM types such as 1074, 1084, 1094 and 1124. NTRIP Checker decodes every incoming message ID with a description, so you can instantly confirm the correction types your rover actually needs are present.
